Modernize the space, improve the flow, additional storage and prep space were the primary objectives for this kitchen remodel. Removing the soffits and taking cabinets to the ceiling maximized storage. Relocating the double oven and replacing it with a slide in range allowed us to create a peninsula that wrapped into seating and serves as additional prep space. The warm cherry pecan stain of cabinets contrasts the Alaska White granite countertop. The crackled two-tone glass pendants and under cabinet lights showcase the taupe glass subway and border tile. The new kitchen fits the style of this mid-century modern house and homeowner’s contemporary taste.
